The start of another work week. Snow still covers most of our back yard and part of our deck, but the ice in the driveway finally gave way to the heat yesterday and I’ve put all the shovels away until next winter (from my mouth to God’s ears). Yesterday was, as usual, a full day. Sunday School, followed by church, then our monthly fellowship lunch. You know, it’s part of our Baptist beliefs – where two or more are gathered in His name, there should be a lunch! Then it was off to choir practice for the afternoon. For those of you that are Nova Voce fans, we will be performing tomorrow, Tuesday night (April 28th), at Halifax’s Spatz Theatre at the annual Battle of the Atlantic Memorial Concert, as guests of the CFB Stadacona Band. It’s a new venue for Nova Voce so we will get to see what the acoustics are like.
With all the horrific news coming out of Nepal after the earthquake last weekend, we did receive some good news – one of the kids that was in Judy’s youth group years ago who was backpacking in the area got word out via social media he was safe. Remember all of the folks in Nepal, as well as the relief workers there and en route as they work to assist in the rescue effort and eventually, rebuild a country that has been devastated. Give feet to your prayers, too – donate!
