“Walk Through The Flame” is one of my favourite songs from “The Road.” It’s one of those songs that tells a simple truth, combining some famous Bible stories with a little close harmony on the chorus.

A while ago, a friend of mine asked me a question when he was listening to one of my songs. That question was, “Do you really believe this stuff?” After the discussion, which involved explaining that many of the facts in the Bible could be validated through other non-Biblical, contemporary, historical sources and continued on through a basic explanation of Faith, he just kind of shook his head and we went on to other things.

“Walk Through The Flame” is my answer to his question. The title, along with the core message of the song, is taken from Isaiah 43:2, which says,

“When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee” (KJV)

It’s a song of assurance. It’s a song that takes a stand. It’s a song about a promise God made to believers: that He will be there whatever we go through. I hope you enjoy it!
